Farecla G3 products
Anyone used the G3 products available from Halfords? Any good?
I've been looking at the Colour Restorer and the Paint Renovator to remove swirls etc., but not sure which would be best. |

Farecla G3 IS good stuff.I used to use it in paste form quite a few years ago now. It,s best to use it with added water for best results. As with any paint correction perform with caution. Somehow i seemed to have migrated to 3M products nowadays for the big once over i do when i buy a car.But any Ferecla product is good stuff and was only ever available to trade when i used to use it.We are talking back in the late eighties early nineties.

Thanks VDT...
The descriptions for the Colour Restorer & the Paint Renovator state similar properties for both products.. which one do you think would be best for polishing out the usual halos and swirls to be found on paintwork? |

Extremely agressive! But good. Sh*t loads of water needed as said. Turns pink audi 100s red pretty quickly, turns white vans to undercoat within seconds from personal experience!

If your going to just polish out the swirls and halos and still want to use Ferecla go for G10 and do as in this video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cj-8zkYygc Good advice there about smearing the polish on the surface. If you don't the spinning motion of the pad sends the polish everywhere.Be warned,i have been there and clearing up is a major job. This is what i use now and i bought my polisher for a perfect professional finish plus i cannot do it by hand anymore as it's a killer to do it properly.Stupidly i have done so over the years far too many times. This is what i use to do what you want to do,Finesse-it first then followed by Ultrafina SE for a perfect finish and then seal with your favorite wax/sealer.
