The cat c tag will always stigmatise the car, but when you look at it realistically I could render this car down down for bits (some quite valuable, like the 7A engine now they're pretty thin on the ground, and the twin pot calipers) and recover close to the £1500 ono (and lesser offers) that's been talked about.

But it would be so much of a shame with a virtually immaculate shell that's never had welded repairs done to it, or straightened on a jig when a chassis drop test proved it's straightness.

Would never suggest breaking such a good and rare car. It's just unfortunate that 90's don't fetch the money they maybe should as they are fantastic cars, far better than some from the same era that whatever reason command much higher prices.

Being a cat C certainly doesn't mean the car shouldn't continue to be cherished and looked after, which it clearly has, it's just that these things do affect a cars value.

Ran one of these for over a year it had over 220k on the clock but still put a smile on my face still have the car and one or two more like it, that car with a cat c is worth the money due to the fact there are not many left and probably the best 90s are the sports one of the best cars Audi ever made .

Hi Phil - I came over to your place a few years back to buy all the interior stuff you had left - it's got the best parts of 3 cars worth of interior bits! Think your black one was in for paint at the time, good to see you're still about!

Black ones only for spares red ones to put back on the road most of them have not had any work on them for some time ,but thats another story ,the 90 sports are now so limited in numbers that any that come up for sale will be at a price which most people would think is to much ,but as with the UR at one time they were at a price of £2-5k now £20,000 can be payed for a good one .
