Its typical of a lot of quattros out the Ken. I'm glad that I managed to find a decent one! It took me 15 years though...

Yours is more than decent, mate. I would say it is one of the best out there. The thing that jumps out to me is the original VAG exhaust. It just looks sublime. They look so 'right' when standard and unmolested. You done yourself proud when you bought that. I have always really admired Andy's (Andyquattro) WR as well. It just looks 'right'.

So, does anyone know who the mechanic referred to in the ad?
Just heard back from the guy and he's told me who it is! :P

don't think the car went away anywhere to be done but i couldn't be sure. regardless, we saw it when it was "ready". there isn't really anywhere local that could be classed as experts let alone Britain's number 1 audi guru.
maybe he's sent the digital clocks away and thats what he means. |

Probably be better for the dipstick selling to stop messing about with schill bidding and just dump it into one of the lower profile classic car auctions.
It'll probably end up as a burnt-out insurance claim if you ask me though. |

most people , me included, up this neck of the woods go to tonksy for any "proper" work to be done. he's 150 miles away so hardly on the doorstep but still probably the closest specialist to us. i don't like to call him a guru in case he gets big headed and starts refusing to talk to us "poor northerners".
