Default Holiday time again

Off to a cottage just north of Tongue (north coast of Scotland) for a week of seatrout fishing again, no internet in the cottage but the bank in Tongue has free Wifi that extends out to the main road and is accessible with laptop from car, I am sure there will be a photo post on my return.

Nice one Colin. It's a stunning bit of the country. Take some midge repellant!

Have fun, catch fish, drink beer, chill out and don't forget to send us a postcard.

Aye, hope for wind and rain or come back stinking of bonfire smoke, it's the way of things. Suppose that's why nobody lives there. Just back from a tour ourselves, ended up getting as far as the ar*e end of South Uist but the midges are just about as numerous as the busses full of Chinese people these days!

Uist there's no tourists.. well just weird ones.

Best repellent we have found is an Avon product called Skin So Soft. It's a very light oil in a pumpspray pack and insects hate it. Doesn't smell either.

3M Ultrathon jungle strength, 35% DEET.. Midges don't like that stuff, military issue. Melts your clothes though!
