Default Front Right Brake caliper

Mine is a bit sticky, took car out to work today and it is rotating, but a little warm.

My preference with these things is to have a replacement spare, remove the old one and replace immediately with the new one. If the cost is excessive then a rebuild should be simple enough, but i do hate brake fluid with a passion, and if i can avoid dealing with it at all I will!

Its a standard MB twin piston caliper (G60 I think). Anyone?

Yes you can buy new G60 calipers, yes you can rebuild (try Big Red), set of seal for each caliper under £20, no matter which route you take these parts are always better repaired /
replaced in pairs so do both sides in case of brake imbalance.

Is it definitely a fault with the caliper, and not the infamous master cylinder failure which result in pressure not being released in one or more lines?

That's interesting, because i had that issue on my old WR.
In this case, its a new master cylinder (not 2nd hand either!) and this side has always been a bit sticky.

Sooooo very tempting!

I do hate touching brake fluid, but at a push I suppose I cuold rebuild them on the driveway away from everythign else.
IS it a difficult job?
TBH, I'd prefer a new caliper-off/on/bleed job done...

Overhaul isn't difficult once you have done a few. Sometimes getting the seals back in can be difficult.
If you have a proper brake pipe clamp, you can remove the caliper and work inside. It's all quite simple really, just a piston and seal plus dust boot. Rear calipers slightly more complex but still easy enough.

I've got a pair I could potentially part with. New they are not

Which type do you have ?

Hose in the top or hose in the middle between the pistons ?

Mine are hose in the middle. (Edited-oops. I remembered wrong and just checked)
I drove back this afternoon and the caliper was definitely less sticky. (Wheel hub was barely warm)
A quick haunt out just now and even cooler.

I’m thinking I should get the wheel off and exercise the pistons again. Then keep
