One good the other minor surface rust on edges. Shame to scrap it though really , but I guess its just a bog standard old & slow 80 thats not worth saving.. Fingers crossed someone does otherwise I might take it off his hands and strip it myself to fund the Cq engine upgrade...

Last chance before the crusher takes it. Well before I take it off his hands and strip it, prefer not too as seen far worse ones on the road but needs be...

There was guy joined the forum not too long ago with 16v Sport like mine with the red seats, which had been in an accident and was an isurance right off. He didnt want to lose the car, he could use this to reshell the 16V and wouldn't even need to paint it.

I'll try and find the thread

What a let down by some zero feedback t****r bidder. Now back on for last time. MOT and Tax run out at months end and so it'll be taken away on a trailer and stripped after that if not sold..

This kind of thing seems to happen to all older cars... the sportier & higher spec ones get saved & the base models - the ones you saw everywhere when they were in their heyday, get forgotten about.

In a few years when there's next to none left, other folk will want a car just like the one they had years ago, or like the one their dad had & begin to realise they're all gone... which pushes the price up of the remainder left!

There's something appealing about boggo spec, but sadly no room in my house for this one... which seems to be the story across the board.

Somebody somewhere will love it!

I have a feeling it's going to be loved by lots of people as the spares will be getting fitted to lots of cars

If this was black and manual i would of been very interested! How easy is it to convert an audi 80 from auto to manual? I do have an audi 80 1.8s that i could use as a donor but am not keen to strip it!

On these old cars it would be pretty straightforward. Just the console and mechanism to change for gearstick. on top of fitting a flywheel, clutch and pedal box of course
