Sorry for not replying sooner Derek, was going to but then never got around to it. Been a crazy few years for me, but I am still alive (just )

I can give the following update on the Audi coupe. I sold it to a guy who was around 40 years old who said how much he loved these 2.3 coupes (I think he said his dad had one back in the day) and told me now it was his he would never part with it.

I believe he was from the west yorkshire area.

I did have a Porsche for a couple of years, amazing car, and actually just sold it this week.

My current cars are the Audi B5 1.8T Avant (RS4 project) and Range Rover thats the daily driver. The RR converts into a temporary camper van and I've been on 2 trips in it.

I do have a bit of money burning a hole in my pocket after the Porsche sale but so far I have resisted the urge to buy an old Audi. The force is strong with the TT right now, seem like great value atm. 225 BAM and Quattro for sub 2k?? But I cannot justify it.

That's all from me!
Simon,

Good to hear you're still alive ! .....I think it's been a crazy few years for everyone?!
How's the avant doing ?
TTs' are a bargain, if you're not claustrophobic then why not.....unless you need a proper quattro?! I get them, but I wouldn't have one......yet!
Sound's like the coupe went to a good home, have you ever heard back from the guy?

All the best.

Yeah I know what you mean, I would rather have a proper Quattro for sure!

I never heard from the Audi coupe guy after the sale unfortunately.

The Avant is good, I will update with some pictures. The only problem was body work on the sills and arches, no matter what we did they kept cracking and I keep having to redo them. Overall though its a good car.
