it normally is able to be read on the later cars,

You may need to change the baud rate

Thanks. I’ll have a check, but assume that as it can read the other controllers that the settings are ok? Does anyone have a wiring diagram to see where the feed for that ECU comes from and what voltage it should be? Cheers

All sorted! In the fuse box looking towards the windscreen, in the front right there’s a space for a fuse surrounded by a red collar, it was empty. A 10a fuse in it now and hey presto all’s well. Thanks for the help though.
