maybe Coxy can log into zeemaps and post a blank map and we can re-populate, the old one was probably out of date

Nothing planned. The last one was around a year ago. I wouldn't be opposed to another one, followed by a meal at one of the nearby restaurants. If there is enough interest?

Nice idea, but I think Coxy is pretty busy what with work and keeping this place running smoothly.

I'd certainly be interested, just cant do anything between now and aitp as my boy is having work done at DG Motors as we speak, then he's off to the bodyshop for a week, after which I have only a few weekends to sort out a few other minor bits n' pieces so that he's ready for the show...whether I'll be able to afford a meal though is another matter entirely, homemade picnic maybe.

I'm a Northamptonshireist. I don't know if it would be of interest to any here, but there's a classic car meet in Earls Barton (between Northampton and Wellingborough) on the first Wednesday of every month through the Summer. http://www.classiccarmeet.co.uk/. Judging by the cars I see trundling up the A45 it always seems well attended.

Default local event

Notice a new sign by the roadside on my travels today:

Classic Car Show
Castle Fields, Higham Ferrers
Sunday 2nd August
11am - 4pm

Believe it's off the Kimbolton Road somewhere, anyway, might be of interest for the locals here, thinking about attending myself as a warm up for AITP7.

Thinking of having a little AITP after party over the August Bank holiday weekend, the weather is set to be good atm, thinking maybe the Sunday (30th August) to give people time to recover/be with family/whatever, would need to be somewhere midway between say A45/M1 and A6/A14 junctions, so possibly the worlds end at Ecton, this being only a few miles from billing aquadrome, doesn't have to be anything fancy, just an opportunity to meet and chat...

Any locals or even non-locals up for it?

Going to be away that weekend with the wife, thinking lake district (good opportunity for a calendar photo!) but maybe in future the Classic car show in Higham Ferrers sounds good

Thanks Johnb...
Don't think we met at AITP, where are you based?

That's a shame 1781cc...
I'm sure that you'll have a great time regardless, this was just a spur of the moment idea, hence the short notice, and I'm not expecting a huge turnout, but will post something up in the 'gatherings and events' forum as you never know.
Not sure how often the car show/meet takes place in Higham Ferrers, but I'll keep my eyes peeled and post here if I spot any signs whilst I'm out n' about.

[EDIT] my 'gatherings and events' thread can be found here: http://www.classic-audi.co.uk/forum/...455#post387455
