91 CQ Sunroof
Hi -
I am trying to rebuild a 91 CQ that was on its way to becoming a rally car. The entire interior was stripped - including the sunroof. In place of the sunroof the previous owner had rigged a piece of plexiglass bolted to some steel bars that were welded in each of the corners of the hole in the roof. I have been able to get another sunroof to install and was able to get the bars out, but what I have left is a lip across the front of the hole in the roof and about half way down the sides that the plexiglass rested on and was RTV'd to. I can't determine if the previous owner welded in the lip, or if it is factory. I have a thread on motorgeek that has some pictures: https://www.motorgeek.com/viewtopic....=unread#unread if anyone has a 91 CQ and can see if there is a lip for me I would greatly appreciate it, or if anyone knows the answer. I am having a world of trouble trying determine if this was from the factory. I am ready to put the factory sunroof back in, but this lip is holding me up. thanks |
