Morning gents, been sitting on the side line watching this post, as you know from the start of this post I run the Bosch red injectors, I never ran the standard Hitachi injectors so can not comment on the difference between them, the adapters that I purchased from Germany were a little long and they leaked when I fitted them to the engine, I made up a space between the inlet manifold and fuel rail to allow the injector to seal, as for the running voltage I cut the diode box off its wiring loom and soldiered the 6 wires together, I will take photos at the weekend and post them.

I can put you in contact with Patrick Carlier who designed this kit originally. His were a perfect fit and reading back a bit it looks like he's recommending Siemens versions now

That's the same seller I got my adapters from. Never had any problems with them.
I've got grey injectors in mine. Only paid around £100 for 8 of them

I have done this modification to the 7A in my B2 90, it's straight forward enough to do. Has transformed the car. I'm still working my way through other running issues though. I got a set of 5 used red Bosch injectors from EBay off a Volvo of some sort and adaptors from Germany.
Also a thanks to 20vcqdriver for his help with this conversation, the wiring diagrams really helped, thanks again. |
