Faecebook is alright for what it is, but it's no substitute for a forum like this. There's a wealth of knowledge on this kind of forum, and even if the same or similar knowledge exists on facebuttock, how the hell do you find it. At least on forums like this, you can use a search function, or even save the URL of a particularly useful topic.

I've hardly looked in on here for a few years but only because I've been driving old rwd Volvo estates for practical reasons. They're alright for carrying loads of gear, but very wooden, in a canal barge kind of way.

Would be interested to know.

I know that it was a lifetime membership fee, but I'd be happy to "pay again" maybe someone could organise a poll to test the water?

I've no problem with an annual fee of some sort to cover costs.
Forum over farcebook for me too

Before I do that, I’d like to get an idea of the costs involved, and we’d really need Al’s input to get a better gauge of what’s intended or possible.

I’d be ok with an annual fee.

The work behind the scenes i have no idea about, but maybe if there was an annual fee and there was enough change left in the kitty after the overheads were taken out, maybe the calendar might make a comeback...?

As (possibly) the last surviving moderator of classic Audi I feel it has probably the best behaved, most informative, supportive, genuinely interesting and eclectic members of any Audi forum. There are also some properly iconic motorsport engineers who frequent this forum who would be lost to the classic Audi community should anything happen to it. The loss of those links to such a skilled Audi engineering ‘generation’ would be unforgivable.

When a member here posts a reply or a new post, somewhere in UK and beyond, it sparks interest from a like minded enthusiast... That’s what forum do, and it takes decades to develop that.
Here Here, My thoughts exactly. I'm not really into all this social media crud. As far as I'm concerned its got a lot to answer for regards the massive increase in young generations suffering depression. I always come here for information, help and banter
