Default Reluctant Sale - Excellent Original 80 Sport
Seller Type : Private
Vehicle Make : Audi
Vehicle Model : 1984 80 GTE Sport B2 1.8i
Price : £1795
Location : Isle of Wight but happy to deliver!
Additional Details : V5C (Logbook),Taxed,MOT'd

My Opening title as a newbie to this great club community 6 months ago began 'Reluctant Aquisition' because I was offered a fantastic car that I had only moderate interest in, didn't need, couldn't justify and certianly couldn't afford easily. Ironically I now title this thread 'Reluctant Sale' ....... this 80 Sport won me over more and more week by week and If I didn't have a wedding in 6 weeks and an empty wedding fund and a disgruntled fiance I wouldn't be selling it.

Excellent original condition, perhaps the finest untouched 80Sport out there. 76k miles 9months MOT and 5 months tax which I'll leave on it. I have serviced it (plugs, oil&filter, air filter, distributor cap & rotor arm) 300miles ago. Detailed, polished, waxed and the tornado red paintwork, original Ronal Alloys and all original plastics and decals come up like new... quite a brilliant looking car that attracts lots of attention and I enjoy owning very much. Excellent interior with no tears, burns, holes or marks and taylored floor mats since these images were taken. Brand new Hella driving lights very recently which reoplaced the original Hellas which were past their best. I also have a 1month old bespoke top quality outdoors cover which cost me £180 which I can include by negotiation.. you can see that it was not my intention to sell this fine car.

I have sold dozens of vehicles privately on Ebay over the years all to delighted buyers and I have 100 feedback as a result...However, I am reluctant to place this on Ebay hence floating it here first. However, my next step will be to market it more globally after maybe a week on here.

Any photo's or info just drop me a line or call/text Jon 07919897509 'jonathanl@fsmail.net'

I am happy to deliver it anywhere in the UK for a contribution to costs to be arranged privately.
Thanks for reading.

indeed, it looks like on of the nicest original unmolested examples left and I think the price is about bang on.
Shame you're selling but needs must I guess and women will always have the last say!

Will make a very nice useable daily for someone, or just one for dry days and weekends.

LOL NICE ONE CHAPS, HOWEVER THE WIFE TO BE JUST READ THEM OVER MY SHOULDER AND SHE IS EVEN MORE KEEN NOIW FOR ME TO GET RID OF THE 80 AND HAS INSISTED I REDUCE THE PRICE IN ORDER TO DO SO, DOESN'T WANT ME SOCIALISING WITH YOU LOT I GUESS!

Anyhow, onto serious business a few folk have asked for more close ups of the vulnerable areas of bodywork so over a couple of threads becuae i'm limited per thread here they are.

Thanks for all the enquiries and Coxy for the very fair remarks.

More images close up of vulnerable areas .

Incidentally I am very pleased with the cover, tailor made by 'Specialist Covers' not cheap but top quality and great looking in black with red stitching and their logo embroidered on the bonnet. I remove it after several days rain and the car bodywork is exactly as I left it ie gleaming with no blemishes anywhere... superb. If the buyer of the car doesnt want the cover then it will be listed on here for sale.

If she loved you, she'd let you keep it...

Tell you what, ask her to bin all her make-up, GHD's or Horse etc... Before you wed.
