Default CGT suspension

Whilst doing the fuel filter I had a look at the rear dampers and they are looking very sorry, not surprising if they're originals they will be 30 years old . The car is fitted with lowering springs maybe eibachs I'm not sure they were on the car when I got it. Anyway I'm looking to replace the springs and dampers any suggestions please?

I've got a feeling mk2 golf rears fit, but otherwise OEM replacements may still be available from motor factors.

I'm looking to do them as a complete set - matched dampers and springs - budget of around £400.

KYB are another brand to consider. Had rear shocks & springs from them on my C3 since 2012, and so far so good.
