Audi 80 cabrio roof ECU

hi all

I think the roof ECU behind the rear seats may be faulty (as I have check all wiring, relays, switches etc)

the one in my car is number 8G0 959 225. however when I look only all the ECU's are 8G0 959 225 A.

does anyone know if I got a ECU with the same code with "A" on the end would it work?

did that part number supersede the part number I have?

Do you mean 8G0 959 255 ?

The ecu changed based on chassis number 8G-V-000001 onwards all have 8G0 959 255 A

So if your car is registered before the 1997 MY you need 8G0 959 255

Yeah sorry that’s the number I meant.

So the units ending in A won’t work?

I can’t find any online without the A
