So, I'm about to buy a clutch kit for this AAN engine to 016 b2/typ85 CQ Gear box.

I think this is the right one: https://www.sachsperformance.com/en/...-999707-999875

Is that correct?

Also I need a new clutch release bearing , is it this one?

Uprated Clutch looks to be the same one I have on my lightened 3B flywheel, not sure about the release bearing. I went through a standard one within 10k miles and now using an uprated one but not sure which as got Central VW Audi to buy and fit it...

Mines been noisy since I bought the car 10 years ago or so (shuts up when you press down on the clutch) . I don't think its had many miles on it either so if there are 'uprated' ones available that would be good

There's this one, though not had experience of this one. Am tempted to get it to try when present one fails https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UPRATED-C...O/264257646255

So my brand new custom made and balanced RR fly wheel arrived the other day so I'm now just about to buy the RR clutch, RR Pressure plate and release baring.

Thinking of also getting a new Master and slave cylinder as well, are these just regular Type 85 CQ KV items? or do I need anything different now that the AAN will be going in there?

That would be a good idea, I would also use a Goodridge braided hose for the clutch hydraulics, my OE one was past its best and so fitted one on mine, certainly helped pedal travel and will withstand the added pressure of the uprated clutch for many years

That's a good idea! Is that an off the shelf hose they have in stock?

I assume the regular kv CQ master and slave will be the same and it makes no difference having the other engine in ?

So long as you still have the Cq 5 speed gearbox, then yes. Think I asked around a bit to get the braided high pressure hose. If I find where I got mine I'll let you know

I recall that this supplier did have the braided clutch line available at some time in the past ;

Pete at quattro Corner will know them and has stock (OE equipment).
Just recently bought my master from him.
