I propose Central Daylight Time (CDT) as used in Dallas, Texas.
Right now it's 0810... Using any time doesn't make a lot of difference. Time is just another unit of measurement, same as kg are for weight... In today's 24 hour world, changing the clocks is outdated.

You just wait until the collapse of our so-called civilisation. Try putting your candles forwards or backwards then!
I work for now, and have worked for many companies previously, where we use UTC as our measure. Mostly*. UTC for the rest of you is a subtle difference** from GMT, so that the rest of the slightly civilised world don't have to acknowledge Greenwich as being somewhere near the centre of most troubles. *its a constant source of mirth and ire that some folks can barely work out the time, while 'coordinating' the movement of $200million of technology around the world. **and largely irrelevant, given that we haven't managed to get our gnarled little rock to spin and navigate an accurate 24hr/365day cycle that we keep adjusting ever 4 years or so.

I think you'll find a few of us have got watches and clocks that work independantly.
I'm not in favour of the current time playing nonsense. But I'd prefer the current arrangement over adjusting my watch by 19.7 secs every day. |

They sell watches in the market that auto adjust by many seconds per day. The Chinese manufacturers are way ahead of the west in this regard.
Granted; by the end of the year, you might have auto adjusted to yesterday or tomorrow, but at least you won't be stuck in the present

I propose 'Irish time', everything will be done when it's done, the pubs won't close until at least 2am and we'll be a half hour late for everything and it'll be 'grand'.
