Ur quattro satin black window frame code
I've been working through ETKA and have found several references ( part numbers) to satin black paint codes/part numbers...
Serious quesstion, does anyone have the correct "satin black" paint code ( or ETKA part number) for the window surrounds for a Ur? Many thanks in advance...

I tried several brands of rattle can satin black to do my door surrounds, since I’m working on the assumption that your not going to DIY it’s tricky to help.
I found the autotek satin black to be indistinguishable from the original paint Last edited by Duffy3074; 25-02-18 at 01:51 PM. |

I concur, very good match to the satin black already on my car, assuming of course that it is an original shade. Also, have a look at these guys, I have a used their rattle cans for Panther Black on my Ur to paint a replacement sunroof & tidy up slam panel/inner wing. Again a great match for the existing paint https://www.paints4u.com/AutoColours...ProductID=5021 If you scroll down and enter 1985 in box 1, select Audi in box 2 and type "black" in box 3 then search, it comes up with a Matt Black for bumpers LV9A. Might be worth checking out. I may be wrong but I think the (L)Y9Y is a metallic paint. Geoff

You could always go with the stuff the idiots in neath used on mine-
Seems to be water based, and it appears to have been mixed with spit and sherbert dip, judging by the number of bubbles that appeared, and comes in 3 different shades of grey...
