Default Indicator relay location on B2 Coupe

Probably very easy question for those of you who who work on your cars regularly, but having just resurrected my 81 Coupe , the indicators are non-op although were working fine when the car was put to bed about 5 months ago.

Haynes manual is no use and the cars handbook doesn't help either.

I know where are the relays are and the fuses with them of course, but wonder if the indicator relay is hidden elsewhere as I have a dim recollection of that maybe being the case, or am I confusing it with another model of car ?

Any help would be gratefully received , thanks, Frank.

Isn’t it attached to the back of the instrument pod? So you need to remove the cover and there it is.
Try the hazards. If they work the relay is fine (and you can pin it down too!)

As Stuart says, it is behind the instrument cluster.

If it doesn’t work the hazards either check out any after market alarm if fitted.

Many thanks chaps , will have a look under the instrument cowling .....I had an inkling it was in a different position to the other relays but its been so long since I did much on the cars and senility is setting in too.

Past the 76th Birthday and things don't get any better I can assure you.
