Went through the order process however found that on top of the $30 postage there is a $20 money tranfer fee! My inlaws are in the US so I thought they could bring it back but of course liquids are a no-go and if it burst in their luggage I wouldn't be popular!

So anyone want to go in with me and order a few bottles?
Count me in! (and I'd just like to comment I'm dead jealous of your 200T. A mate of my dads bought one new and it was awesome. If I had limitless funds that low mileage ebay find would be mine!)

Oh me, oh my. That's it isn't it? It took seeing it in black and white to realise tho!

Incidently, the August 1980 edition of Car magazine not only has a ur on the front but has a group test of the 200T, 280E and 728i. Cracking read. I'm thinking of working my way through the 80's in old magazines!

So seriously what if I ordered a few bottles? You would need to choose your colour off the website. The cost would be $9.95 per bottle plus $25 (half the cost of the postage and money transfer)...so approimately £17 (TBC) + a few pounds to post it to you. The more people who order the cheaper. Obviously I don't know whow good the product is but my Canadian collegue used to be a detailer and says it's good??

...and thankyou for your comment about my 5T...don't suppose you would like to buy the 5E featured on my website?

Can you dye nylon? Isn't the colour actually in the nylon (i.e. plastic) fibres?

Imagine trying to dye fishing line, same stuff. I don't think it'd take.

Okay, I've been contacted by a guy through Petrolheads who will sell a dying kit for £16.50, he has light and medium blue + many more I believe. I can pass on his details if anyone wants. On the nylon thing...I don't know how it works but as long as it does... Normally you need to soak nylon in dye for 20 mins at 103 degrees - so I guess this stuff coats the nylon?

Got the stuff today - a light blue and a mid blue (in containers the size of a 35mm film). Mixed the powder into a gallon of warm water as instructed, added PH adjuster and colour fast stuff and off I went. Dipped the two side bits of carpet into the bucket and they came out blue (almost white before) - but the water ran off clear! Applied the dye to the rear capet - which was worse than the front and now it's blue again. Photo of before is below - after to follow...
