Question How much would it cost to,respray a car?(B2 90)

Got to get my arse into gear next year and get my project car started.
Just trying to find out what I'd need(materials),what quantities and costs?
Decided to go sleeper,so it will be repainted Oceanic Blue(Y6V-L7)
Any info or tips,would be welcome.Thanks.

you're spraying it yourself? are we talking a multitude of rattle cans and a bucketful of isopon p38 or a professional job??!

Definitely one of those jobs you can really regret DIYing, especially as you want a metallic. If I wanted a proper job doing, the only person I'd trust charges about a grand and a half for a prep and spray, obviously a very ballpark figure depending on what needs doing. I know cheaper sprayers who say £50 a panel if you prep, but my experience is you get what you pay for.

As above ...you want to do it once and right ... Not again two years or less down the line and generally the best done advertise etc as they are busy

around a grand for a prep & spray here in Bedford. My mate does it for living. He sprays (repairs) brand new cars as well, just before they go to MAIN dealerships!

Jesus, a grand, I might be heading to Bedford once the cars MOT'd again!

I guess that figure can vary depending on prep.

Respraying panels on a new car is one thing, respraying a 25 y/old rusty Audi with tin worm here and there is another! 90% of the work is in the prep. That's where most of the cost will come in.
