Question wing alignment?

not sure if this is the right section to post this but,..

just got my new coupe quattro home the other day.. but having had a better look at it, it seems the passenger side front wing is slightly out of line.

can this be rectified?

perhaps it may not be all that noticeable to others unless pointed out to them, but since noticing it, I now know its there.. & so every time I look at the car I can see it. & it just looks 'untidy'.

Am i being too fussy?

I was wondering if it can be 'moved' a little?

Try adjusting the bonnet over slightly till you get the same gap either side as it might be that as the bonnet might of beem removed at some point in the past

Agreed, adjust the bonnet first. I've had this on a car before.

you can move the wing but i would think that if its original its in the right place (lots of sticky glue stiff holding it in place as well as the bolts ) if it's been replaced you should be able to loosen the bolts along the top and ease it over a bit

I am no body work expert but how do you know its the bonnet as you can't see the other side gap and from the scuttle it looks ok .
Also the grill looks ok and the hockey stick doesn't and that the only part attached to the wing IMHO its the wing that needs moving other classic sign is a V gap as shown on pic 1 , 3 and 4.

Parallel the wings and i would bet there’s an issue.

Agree with the above... It could also (possibly) be that the bonnet is a pattern part from the 1990's; there were a few 'cheapies' available from after market suppliers and these were less than square.

As long as it's a Warble and not a Warple, that might explain the wing alignment... Come on then what's the tale behind this then...?

It's not 'Beermonster's', ex Cambell Grasstrack project car is it???
