Default Escort

1973 Mk 1 1100 escort that ended up with a 1650cc 120bhp mexico engine and running gear with home made digital dash and Starsky and Hutch stripe. Was modifying cars from the start... knightrider was on at the time too when I was 17 and probably had a lot to do with the dash mods...Great fun and love to have another as a project when I retire....bet you can still get parts for them too?!!

any pictures of your car Tomme?
Looks like it's a white one ?
Never seen a white one, only about 426 were ever imported into the UK.
I ran a red one for about 16 months, replaced it with a 2.8 quattro......... wow!

I knew Facebook would come back and haunt me!

Just been tagged (whatever the fook that is all about on Faceache) so logged in to see what it was, (btw, I hate Facebook!), and found this pic!
Not sure what year, I'd say around '94/'94 so still some 10 years after the Goth thing had come and gone (and some of the hairline), but still kept the long hair!

oh my good lord, I don't know wether to laugh uncontrollably or applaude your honesty and bravery

But the least I can do is put one up. to show some solidarity. Here's me as a young man in strange handknitted jumper things and some sort of huge "pile it high sell it cheap" haircut. Circa 1982 so when my car was new, this was the look I was sporting.
