So here it is!
As a big fan of typ43, it's never enough of them so spotted this one in Netherlands for very good price and seemed condition is fair for that age of car. Contacted seller who was very responsive and helpful - decided to make short weekend holiday trip together with girlfriend. Everything makes it easier as she is very supportive about my hobby
Met the car and it was exactly what I was expecting. Bit of rust arround but not that bad at all. Usually engine compartement gets very rusty on these, but on this - just a bit. Interior in very good condition, sunroof only lifts, need some WD40 to make it slide. Of course it's gonna be fully resprayed and so on.
I hate the wheels, so will go for original ones. Need to change front suspension bushes and front right wheel bearing is very noisy.
Confused about the engine. Done 600km with avarage speed 70mph and engine oil didnt drop at all. And no smoke or whatever. So it's in good condition. But it is SOOOOOOO slow And it did approx 25 miles per gallon which is not good at all for diesel engine. Probably doing 55mph it's much better, but car is very comfortable and it's hard to go that slow on motorways.
So cann't decide - leave this on in or go for 2.5tdi from C4??? Your opinions?

Let the pics speak

and it's Auto Union - Audi 100

anyone knows what for is that heated element on fuel pump? Heating up it reduces or adds fuel?

Yes, this one will be resto project. Just dont know what to do with engine. Along the keeping original or 2.5tdi I'm thinking about 2.4d from VW Caravelle. More similar to original

Is the original engine unrepairable ?
Or do you just fancy something different

Engine is runing ok, but it's VERY slow... Want more power from it. What if I go for turbo charger mounted on this engine and 2.4d fuel pump to feed it?
I dont need cosmic amount of power, but at least 100hp could be nice. Now it's only 70hp on paper and probably 55-60hp in real life.

I would say original unless it has had a complete interior swap
Look at the door cards very 200ish but with windy windows
It is very nice though
