From about 1982 to late 80's my we had a Bose 1401 radio cassette, with amplifier and speakers (all bose) We where the envy of quite a few folk back then lol :P
Although it was a leaving gift when he left the Framingham plant (Boston)
If i can find some pictures i will scan and put them up, although it has been a while from i have seen the stereo, ended up in a box in the attic of my mothers last house!

Great post,brings back some great old memories seeing these Pioneer TS 1600's. An old mate had a set in either his first car a 1.1 Mk2 Escort or was it his third car after the 1500 spitfire a 1600 Mk2 Capri might be 1983/84??

Both my cars have retro sound, the Gt isn't fitted from new (had some modern chinese tat fitted when bought), the 90q is - must have just missed the SQR Blaupunkt series by months. Been thinking about putting an SQR in the 90q, might just do one day.

I'm trying to fit period correct audio to all my cars, here's my 1992 Audi 80 quattro fitted with a 1992 Blaupunkt Frankfurt RCM 82
