Injectors are back from the cleaners, new seals, new inlet gasket, all ready to go back on the car this weekend. Any top tips for re installing them?

I got the seals from the company that cleaned the injectors and needed to replace a couple of the brown shrouds that came from Quattro corner I think.

They went back in a whole lot easier than they came out.....

Thumbs up Thanks.

Off the top of your head,do you remember if any of the parts were brass or copper?
Do the injectors just slide in,the brown plastic inserts?

Might have found a supplier,in the UK?(A VW,site)
I will give you detail, when they reply to my email.

I take it the KV engine, doesn't use the brass upper insert?

so to be clear,
once the injector is removed you will see a brass insert in the cylinder head, this is removed with a large allan key or drain plug key, it a fine thread and usually quite stiff to move, once this is removed the brown plastic insert is underneath. they should lift straight out but be very careful as they go very brittle over time, I would remove the inlet manifold and stuff a rag in the inlet so if you break them the wee bits don't go in to the engine.

parts are the same as the mk1 mk2 golf gti 1.8
