Funny subject this one. Firstly, can I just say what's wrong with us all - we're pretty much sain, grown men and women and we're discussing X-Factor in our free time

Anyhoo, as we're on it, I think the show has changed. When it and that PopStars thing first started it was about fidning a talent to make it in the pop world. Any tosh was quickly destroyed in the early stages. Now the Great British public has become used to this format they seem to be voting for the ones they think will annoy Simon Cowel..... WTF!!!

There is some genuine talent in this show and it would be a sahme if that talent missed out on a deserved win as a pair of idiot muppets get their place just cos the masses want to annoy a bloke on the tv! What are we all doing?

I have to say I watch X-Factor, don't know why but I do, much to my dissmay. Just wish it was a bit more genuine. Watching a "star" grow from the very start is quite interesting but in 6 months no one will know who that John and Edward prats are and someone may have lost thier chance cos of them.....

They should give the judges guns, or atleast Tazers - then it'd be fun!!!

So based on the first line of my OP are you suggesting that most parents would have a sense of dissapointment if their sons or daughters turned out to be gay??

Personally if one of my kids came out it it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. At the end of the day they're are still my kids and as long as their happy, safe, treat the world with respect and bring happiness into the lives of others then that's fine by me. Of course I can't really speak for most parents (as I infered in my original post) only on my own behalf

Onto the TV rant, what I don't understand is everytime I watch Discovery Turbo, Discovery Shed (got to love that chanel name), Dave etc all of the adverts are aimed at women. They're blokes TV chanells for heavens sake and should be our place of sanctuary !!

nope, read my last post back and you'll see quite categorically that I stated I can't speak for most parents

I just think that there are lots of things in this world that we should be rightly dissapointed in, but my kids sexual orientation most certainly isn't one of them so long as it's legal and consenting.
