audis run fine on unleaded they was desined to run on the old 2 star in the 70s so no probs.if its a carb run it on superplus and you will have no probs at all

injection cars will run on eather 95 or 97 ron

some early cars would have had to had a head converted to run on unleaded but audis already have hardend valve seats so dont worry keep the coupe, its like getting rid of your old dog it will always be a fathful friend.

Just caught this thread. No contest, keep the GT. A carb'ed coupe with blade bumpers and flat fronted, with cookies. Getting rarer than rare.

Definately should fit the weber if you have it. Mine has the conversion and its on a manual choke and it runs fine. I run mine on high octane petrol (simply cos I don't so that many miles and can justify the expense).

I don't use mine as a daily but would have no qualms doing so. A great motor and full of character.

Of course I'm not biased

Yup its a carbed model, ill try get the paint code off it over the weekend, if I can remember where it is and get at it as currently its parked in the corner of the lockup

a picture from when it was moved over there, hell I even owned a nearly fully working s2 think it even had mot at that point, just a shame it had no clutch.

I know, its going for a mot on monday so providing it passes, I may drive it for a few months and sell my passat estate whilst I get another 20vt engine for in the ur.

less than 125 on the road, these are rare beasts.

Yeah only reason I never put the carb on was I like the autochoke as its how it came out the factory so i'd like to keep it as close to that as possible (the lowering was one thing my father wanted because it was so high as standard)
