If you couldnt afford to resurrect your GT, you got no chance with a UR.......
My old mechanic said to me when I told him I wanted to buy a quatty "Don't bother! They are Moneypits! Just keep doing up your GT!" (I had an immaculate one at the time.....sold it and regretted it ever since)
And I hate to conceed he was right.......Moneypit has drained me of cash ever since

Ye I understand ...and well i can afford to resurect the gt5...prob is the extent of damage n the chassis and the bodywork..ill have a think once i get the news backfrom the garage regarding the gt5....

I think you've got to allow a couple of grand a year in maintenance, prevenitive maintenance, fettling to your "ambition". and then you have to find someone who can actually work on it without screwing it up.
Ofcourse some people get away with less but then they have to sell up when a big one comes along and the next sucker cops it.
I'm lucky, i can just about afford it - and love (mostly) every second of it, but if someone gave me a £1000 tomorrow i could spend it on my ur just like that

..theres also a silver ur Quattro witch needs a new front wing apart from that its in good nick..not going for much as the original advert put them bth for sale at £3850...ill find out how much the good nick one is by itself...for anyone interested...
