Well done DanielGT500 for having a look and more importantly taking the trouble to let us know your findings, alway interesting to hear how the supposed bargains actually are.

Thanks Frank, it was interesting indeed. My dad said that it drives him mad when people treat their cars like this, not changing oil in due course (every 20-25K at best or not at all), not letting it warm up before hooning it, etc. I agree with him this makes me mad too. how much longer would cars last if they were properly looked after.
Not like I haven't heard enough instances where mechanics don't actually do the service when you pay for it. For this reason, I'm doing servicing myself...

It does worth it for the parts. Only need to remove the xenon upgrade from the headlights... Did you take it home on a trailer?

I have yes thank you. My dad managed to get the switch out of it's casing using a heatgun... He's done an awesome job, no marks or anything... One more switch to go in the driver's door. Does anybody know if those switches are the same on the connection side?

Thanks for the update DanielGT500...
that casing was darn tight to say the least, and it has been playing on my mind ever since I tried to get the switch out for you cuz I hate not being able to finish the job!

Oh and I hope you sent your Dad off to the pub for a well deserved beer afterwards, in any case, tell him "well done" from me please!
