You may have handed the items over but not on the understanding that he was going to permanently deny you rightful ownership of them.
Id be kicking his front doors in about now...if i hadnt done my ankle in this afternoon....

Ah, you've very kind. One thing I do have is his dads old Audi 200 number plate (which was stolen off him and scrapped) - can I find out the car's last owner via the DVLA?

Where did he see your ad for the 200T?

Car and Classic or via an Audi site? Not that many people know that much about them and it sounds from your first post that he may be a bit of a fan.
My guess is that he's not taken your gear on purpose, but too damn lame to go to you face to face as he can't for whatever reason complete the deal, and rather than confront you and admit that he can't buy or afford your car, he is burying his head in the sand.
I doubt for one second he's a con artist who goes around looking at cars and then taking models of cars off people.

Yes you could be right, it's just a strange way of acting; he certainly does know a lot about the 5T. It's a lot of effort for a model - all beit a £50 model! His car a was a new Bravo Turbo so he obviously has some money. He first contacted me via my website to say that he loved the site etc and if I ever wanted to sell the car... and that's when the £££ signs appeared in my eyes...
