I think I have one of those in my garage, as well as an exhaust manifold (cracked).....(they are under a pile of 100 suspension bits at the moment.....)

I can post the rubber bit if you'd like it? And the exhaust manifold too (but it won't be until the weekend or after).

Can you have a look at how the decat pipe is fitted? If it is bolted to the downpipe flange at the front, and to the exhaust pipe with a clamp at the back, I might be interested.

Also, can you measure the front discs (thickness), and see if they have a part no on them, I might be interested in them for the right price. Also, are the calipers Girling 60? Or single pot?

Cheers

Steve
Still not had a chance to check the front brakes yet Steve, though from a quick look I don't think their G60's, should have a chance to measure them up tomorrow for you. I spent today removing all the air-con system and dash ect in preparation for repairing the loom, that alarm/immobiliser is fairly complex and has been very well installed so I need to take my time with it.

I'm open to offers on any parts, job lots ect, the cars only going to around for another a couple of weeks as I need to make space on the drive for the engines recipient. I'm going to fill a couple of boxes with stuff I think people might want and keep the wings, bonnet and slam panels as their just too good to scrap and someone's bound to need them at some point. Was going to keep the tail gate as well but that's fecked now, sodding weather!!!!

Had all the wheels off today.

The front brakes are indeed new, less than 500 miles use by the looks. The disks are 25mm thick and are still shiny on the wheel mating surface. Callipers are big single pots and are also in excellent order. Steve you have first shout on these.

Rear disks and pads are also pretty much new, wouldn't be surprised if they were replaced at the same time as the fronts. £25 for the disks and pads.

Both rear callipers work perfectly which I'm absolutely amazed by, considering the cars been stood a while. £20 each £35 the pair.

All springs and shocks look good, though the front bump stops are shot. £20 a corner for shock and spring, will split/combine ect.

There's a load of play somewhere up front, don't know what the cause is as yet. Suspect rod ends or wish bone bushes, though could be bottom ball joints or the rack itself. Reckon this must be the reason the car failed an MOT and got taken off the road as everything else is in really good condition right down to flexi brake pipes ect.

Right, just I thought I'd bump this thread up as the cars going to be scrapped on Wednesday.

Some stuff has gone or is spoken for, but there's a tidy late spec dash with speaker grills and vents ect.

Centre console.

Sunroof in excellent order.

Door glass.

Door cards doors.

Rear seats.

Boot floor foldy thing.

Suspension.

ect, ect, ect.

OK

how much for front calipers, front discs and front pads (delivery by that cheap courier £10 for 30kg???)
Do you have the cat decat pipe and how is it attached to the middle section.

I have still got to dig out the cracked exhaust manifold and that rubber bellows pipe.

I'll take some pic's of the decat pipe tomorrow for you, it's been done fairly well and fits properly.

I hate coming up with prices, how about £60 posted for the complete front brakes including the flexi hoses which are in very good condition.

Here's some photos of the brakes and exhaust for you Steve. I'll be down Swindon way on Saturday morning so could drop the parts off in person, would save the courier costs.

Ok. I'll give you £40 for the front pads, discs , calipers and decat pipe.

I will give you the manifold and the rubber pipe.

And a cup of tea and custard creams.?????

Make sure you take off any other random parts such as ABS pump and servo and "Bomb". Just take off all the randoM
bits you can and chuck them in a box.
