Day 9, 6:50 am, already 74 F or 23 C, with 94% hummidity. Anticipate 29 C which is actually a "break". Just walking to the grocers/market for milk for tea and I'm soggy.

While I'm a deeply devoted acolyte of the faith of Frigidaire, man cannot live on AC alone.

Oh and last night we had a tornado warning 10 miles west of us. Fortunately it did not develop. If I had to average it out we get maybe 1 warning a year in the Northeastern US.

Whose going to help me find a flat in England, somewhere near to all those great Audi and vintage car events?

HELL
That would be a refreshing change for us brits! I'd do anything to a swap, can cope with the heat pretty well - just need to sit in an air conditioned from time to time!

If you get hit by a tornado, you'll have a 'flat' right there...

Ian, pretty rare we have a full fledged Tornado. Maybe once in 25 years. Unlike the corridor of central US states.

The one day. one, I was driving through Kansas I was being chased by 2 on Interstate 70. I had the pedal to the floor in a 15 foot step van (moving truck), maxed out at 68mph. They almost caught me.

Here's my impression of driving 7 hours across Kansas.

Cornfield, cornfield, silo, cornfield, Union 76 gas station, cornfield, cornfield, McDonalds, cornfield, TORNADO.

All joking aside, that must be bloody frightening being that close to such weather...
