Well, I won't be the first!!

Would prefer to get it back to stock to be honest that's why I thinkthe wings would be a good investment. There's going to be no rush with this one. But hopefully, one day it will see the light of day again in it's fully glory! I've nver done a full resto, but I kinda figure this one warrants that kind of attention! Gonna have to see if Rob has got much on over the next few months!!!

Coxy as said for heavens sake dont spend 500 euro on a set of wings, i'm sure they will be much cheaper from my mate, last time I spoke to him he had a number of good second hand panels for these early 80's. And if you don't get to the wing part until October I can even pick them up from him. He's got a whole industrial unit full of bits in the wild's of bavaria including a couple of these early estates

you could be a godsend!!! as far as I'm aware, it is only the wings that are needed. if your mate can source a pair for anything less, I'd be more than greatful!

Stu, picking up the '68 tomorrow mate, if you have Stefens contact details, I'm going to be starting a shopping list! I'd love to be able to get this one back on the road fairly swiftly to be honest.
One part of me is saying patching it up and slam it on Cosmics and the other is saying do it once and do it right and do a full resto on her, but it's not like there's oodles of spares for these so I may have my work cut out sourcing some of the parts.
Haven't seen her yet so don't quite know what to expect.
From what Jon and Tim have said, it's not in that bad condition and it is only the wings that need replacing. We shall see!!!
