If it gets painted,I might consider changing the original fusebox/ wiring loom while I'm at it. They are in a pretty poor state and I've had to do repairs to keep it going. I'm seriously considering changing the lot for a 1982 DA chassis set up which obviously retains the right connections for the dash switches but has the much improved fusebox. Only trouble is,I obviously don't want to cut a hole in the scuttle area so mounting under the dash would be the only option. I think this would probably be an acceptable mod?

I must admit it was a good buy.
Hi Phil.

That's one TOP looking quattro, really does look very nice.
Well done for the "Best 1980's Car of the Show". You must be well chuffed!
Wish I had not gone to work now!

Well done,
Cheers Andy

A superb show, something for everyone's taste in cars. Congratulations to Phil (pearlmars) on deservedly winning his prize, despite some very stiff competition. The quattro display was particularly well received by the visitors. It was a pleasure to feast the eyes on a very nice trio of quattros. A lot of people are into modified/blinged and just plain average examples of cars, quattros included, so it was refreshing to meet a lot of people at the show who appreciated just how quattros look when they haven't been messed about with. Nothing but positive reactions. There were a lot of admirers. There was a 1983 Mars Red WR, a 1990 Pearlescent White MB and a 1991 Titan Grey RR quattro on display. A definite success.

The Red car is Mars Red.The wheel colour is Silver Bright (L V7Z OLD) or old english silver as it gets called. It is the correct colour for your wheels Dave.

Why did I say Tornado when I meant Mars? Didn't some 6" wheels come as Zermatt silver or was that never an option?
