Original, what looks best, strongest.these are all irrellavent.
Each of the wheel type variants are equally important and correct on the vehicle of the time period, and one should not be judged against the other.
What is important is that any of the 3 types of UR related wheels are in the correct colour and with the correct tyre size.
Respect the marque, its heritage and evolution.

They also come as TRX in 195x390 (pic) and 150x390.

The forged Fuchs are stronger and lighter (2 kg./wheel), hence the choice for the gravel rallies...

Original colors on the street cars were bronze, silver, white and pearl-white.

There is also a 15X7 et20 version listed in etka for the sport quattro for winter wheels. I would kill to see a set. Deep dish, 15" rubber. They would look great on a later (post 83) ur with rolled fender lips.

Yes indeed. But when I ordered that parts number, surprise surprise...
No Fuchs but white Speedlines.
Also nice but not so spectacular. Audi didn't bother to give a clear description in the Etka.

So no answer yet to the first question of the thread, how to find the original Fuchs 7 x 15 ET 45? They were manufactured in a high volume, and there are always some offered on the net or ebay. Don't be afraid when they are scratched or dirty, the Fuchs are very strong and easy to restore.
Not cheap, but keep in mind that the last new Fuchs sold by Audi in 2005 costed 440 € +VAT, a piece...

This color is silver Y7Y.
