I stopped when I was at uni. Found the most effective way was to run out of fags and money in the same week
 I spent about 6 months constantly on the brink of smacking someone, and after that I was fine. I still like a cigar though! I've had my current pack since September and I've still got 4 left, so I'm not exactly addicted.
