In my books if you shoot anyone its murder, you physically pull the trigger, you mean to do it. To me it sounds more appropriate.

It's supposed to be 2 guns, last i heard, so obviously he wanted to go and do something. He supposedly had a gripe with a fellow taxi driver, so if he goes and shoots him, what else can he do in his view. Locked up or top himself he has now gone too far, and pushing himself.

He was supposedly asking folks for directions then just shooting them out of his rear passenger window. The taxi man is supposedly the person to kill, the others....... hope they rest peacefully.

Obviously he was upset about something, again I wont say rumours, but I think in the end the system failed him, he must have been desperatly upset, depressed, or some kind of mental Illness going on.

It's one of those horrific events that you think will never happen. My thoughts and sympathy go out to all those involved, especially those families that have lost a loved one today. Let's just hope that the 'critical' and 'seriously injured' people in hospital pull through and make a full recovery.

As if Tom. We all know it WILL happen again, all you can hope for is it's not in your back yard and not your family or friends on the receiving end... or, for that matter, the perpetrator!

As for the media, well, that's not going to change either, not so long as people keep watching/listening/reading trash news. And let's be honest, we all sit glued to shock news items.

Maybe I'm getting just a bit blasé about these things as they are all too common and generally on the other side of the world, with the famous exception of our own whacko, Martin Bryant, who took 35 lives and injured 21 others at Port Arthur in 1996.

EDIT: @Simmo... yes, that'd push me over the edge too!

EDIT #2: just how easy is it to get firearms over there? I fecking hate guns!!!

David Cameron, the British prime minister, told parliament: “When lives and communities are suddenly shattered in this way, our thoughts should be with all those caught up with these tragic events.

Reads: David Cameron, the British prime minister, told parliament: “blah blah blah blah media blah blah blah approval rating blah blah blah"

There's only one thing worse than the media coverage of these things and that's the fake grief, concern and symapthy shown by people, especially bloody politicians and particularly ones like this guy.

The news siad that s far as they know that only one gune was used (they only found one so far by the shooters body), and regards to obtaining them..........if he has a shotgun license it is quite easy. I have about 4 or 5 gun shops near me that I know off!

Only gun shop I have ever paid much attention to is the one in letchworth (around 117 miles away) as its next door to the tattoo place, the one in baldock shut down.

I thought it was harder to get handguns, if they'd have said it was just shotguns then i'd have just put it down to a farmers weapons.
