ACDC back in black

Hayseed Dixie - Back in Black

Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britian - Back in Black
-------------

Chic - Le freak

Ukelele Orchestra of GB - Le freak and some
if your like this stuff, please watch it all, musicianmanship at its finest.
------------

George Harrison - While my guitar gently weeps

Jake Shimabukuro - While my guitar gently weeps
---------------

Above are all great musician parodies. However one very clear winner for me.

Nine Inch Nails - Hurt

Johnny Cash - Hurt
His way of saying goodbye before passing on a few weeks after recording this.

Forgive my ignorance. But which was the original. I prefer the JC one due to the life he lead and the lyrics seem to suit him

Nine Inch Nails came first, but the Cash adaption of it seems so much more emotive, he did pass on literally after recording and shooting this. I beleive every word he says there, what a way to say goodbye.

Love that track, it was the one that brought Johnny Cash to my notice. Basically, his last album (not counting the ones made from "found" material) was mostly an album of covers, but he just makes them all his own in a brilliant way.

Run DMC vs Aerosmith - Walk this Way

Hendrix - All along the Watchtower (orignally Dylan)

The Beatles - Twist and Shout

I've always thought that this was one of the few great covers

Or...

The American IV and Unchained were interesting albums from Cash. Another cover he did that was "interesting" was Soundgarden's Rusty Cage (I do much prefer Soundgarden's original mind you)

YouTube- Soundgarden - Rusty Cage (entire video version)

YouTube- Johnny Cash - Rusty Cage
I do like the Cash version but I do prefer the Soundgarden version as well
nice to see one of my favourite bands back this year reformed, shame Cornell blew up his voice touring the last Soundgarden album and it sounds terrible now I was lucky enough to see him when he had voice, anyway a random link...

From Devo to Grunge
