hello everyone , as the new owner of this car i will be on here quite a bit, got it for a very reasonable price, as the son of audibits iv had quite alot of audis, started on a audi 90e with a kv engine at the tender age of 18, and ive had all sorts ranging from 20v sports, coupes to s2's, i think this is my 14th older/classic audi

plans are to repair the bad bits, nearside door hinge mounting points need welded, thats the worst, also could do with a patch on the bottom n/s of the windscreen, which typ 85 doesnt eh!!!!! oh and a n/s/r door(but that can wait)ile get underneath undersealed properly and it will be stuffed into storage until summer next year when i return from australia, and plans are big for this baby on my return, lets just say i will be on the look out for a cheap s2 and various rs2 engine parts

its been emotional

ah that was another thing i forgot to mention, im that excited it slipped my mind!!!!

apparently the keys got stolen along with his stereo out of his other car the other day, how unlucky!!!!

me and my dad just dismantled the steering column to remove the steering lock and then it was able to be towed using an "A" frame

so added to the list is a complete lock set including ignition barrel, is there any prolific typ 85 breakers on this site, im just being lazy, not in the mood for trawling through pages of "parts for sale" ads, could do with a kick start?!

Ok. The passenger door lock, boot lock and ignition barrel are still on the car. Got to remember what I did with the drivers lock when I swapped the door handle.......

Great news that it's been saved. If truth be known, I tried phoning the guy late on yesterday, but he was ignoring calls so I assumed it had been sold. Looks essentially a good car, even at the final advertised price. Any cheaper & it really was a steal!

If you need parts message me... Know of 2 B2 80's that will be available for breaking sometime in the not too distant future.

Key is in the ignition barrel!

1 key for ignition and the drivers door and the boot, another key for passenger door.

Found the missing barrel. Apparently you can take the locks apart and match them up????
