hello,

Quote:
its flooding the plugs the mechanic tried adjusting but to no avail
was he pissing about with the 3mm allen screw between the distributor and the air flap....????
that is only for idle mixture....
overall mixture is determined by control pressure i think.....(and the shape of the cone that the air flap sits in)

the system may have been adjusted previously to account for wonky components..

does the system have a warm-up regulator...?

there was a trick people used to pull in order to adjust the control pressure..
they would drill a hole in the back of the warm-up regulator to access an allen screw..then adjust pressure/mixture from there..
if you have a warm-up regulator you could un-bolt it from the block (but leave the fuel lines on it) and have a look for any drilling....
