Hey!

Didnt want to start a sad RIP thread, and it hasnt happened yet.

Due to a really bad sprain on Barn's only strong leg,we have decided to have him put to sleep on Monday....

He is still happy in his mind. Its the best thing,as hes on painkillers for this, and can only walk to go to the loo now.Its better than him having a heart attack or some other painful end in the next year or so.
So,come Monday morning,he will get a long groom, all the food he shouldnt eat, then lots of love and heaven will then await the Barn...

He will be laid to rest next to one of his old working buddies,on friends' 3 acre site in rural Fenland, and a splendid tree planted as a tribute to his life.

We have been taking care of all 9 dogs there and left today taking the dog who will be by our sides for a few years to come.

His name is Hobley, hes Rottweiler sized, but a choccie boy.A real gentle giant.Barn loves having him here.As for Storm the Persian Cat,hes just had a pissy protest and gone all over his bed! I love cats! They say **** off really well!!

Barney has got to a good age....BUT there are times when you need to be cruel to be kind.... as you say Groomus, why watch his health deteriorate and him in pain just to extend his life span longer than what is comfortable for him and for you.

Sorry to hear of this news Steve & Sal

Unhappy

I feel for you groom, I love my pets ( not allowed em by wifey ) but they are at my parents and slowly they have got old and I tried dearly to hold onto one that I adored and I'm sure she suffered because I was selfish , I regret that and it's z truly noble decision to make , take care fella and give barns a big hug!
