I'm tempted to have a look at this, what would be a realistic price to pay.
Anything I should look out for.

How much to pay depends on how much you want the car/ how desperate the seller is to sell. I would be very surprised if it went for £1800, but you never know. Last time I seen it/drove it was about 3 and a half years ago when I had sold it on to Booty. It went really well, and looked really well. The guy who Booty sold it to, Nick, had a print out for it and it was putting out a little bit more than the stock 170 horses on the rolling road. The car has not done a lot of miles since then. Maybe 10-15k. Unless it has been seriously abused in that time, it should be still in fine fettle. The bodywork was very, very good. The interior was also very good, I had a brand new genuine Audi drivers seat base fitted professionally, so it was like a new seat, apart from the wear on the bolster. It hasn't got any worse going by the pics. The gearbox was replaced as it was noisy. This was done in 2004 by me with a fully recon'd S2 'box from All Audi. The service history was quite good with it, there being lot's of receipts going back to 1998 and the previous owner to me. It has got a higher than average spec. It has the following options, elec sunroof, rear elec windows, outside temp guage, trip computer and air con. Booty disconnected the air con when he got it off me as the compressor was goosed. It's a very late H Plate 03 June 91. It's an ex VAG car when new. Ben (BW2309) on here would be the man to ask about the mechanical side of 90 quattro Sport 20Vs. I paid £415 for it in June 2004 without an MOT. I would value it at closer to a grand/£1250. Oh and the heated seat switches are dummy ones. Any other questions, fire away. I am sure Booty can add his experience of it for you.

Booty will be able to answer the air con question, as he knows what is missing. The compressor was what was goosed on it, as I had it checked out by an air con specialist. The highest spec'ed one belongs to the genius of all things Audi, Mr Ben (Audi Driver) Williamson (BW2309) on here.

Air con pump probably around 300. Then it will need checking for leaks and if ok re-gassing. Now I dont know about you but when I owned the car I had the 3'' Powerflow fitted on it and it sounded superb. Get the roof open and the windows down and bugger the air con. You don't need it. There was no rust on it either, not even a scab. I re-painted the front and rear 'black chrome' bumper surrounds as they were flaking. The only thing I would say was that when I sold her she could have done with a suspension over-haul. Nowt wrong with her but she could have been a tad sharper.

At £1800, I think it would be safe to say it will be.

It depends on how desperate he is to get rid. I just can't see anybody paying that much for it, but I may be wrong.

The price is entirely up to the buyer - this car has, what seems like a good service history and has been owned by two respected members on this forum, I paid £1800 quid for my 80 Sport 16 Valve just over 2 years ago, but only because of its condition, history etc. It was on sale for £2000. It was probably the most expensive B3 80 sold in 2007. I use it every day, after a year it flew through the MOT with no advisory, this year cost £431 but was just wear and tear items and I've not regretted it for a moment.
