It'll do 35mpg if I'm steady on the pedal, but good to know there's power there when needed!

Im sure that everyone knows that since its been in Coxys ownership it has wanted for nothing ( wheres the brown nosing smiley? ) lot of car for the money

Right then Pipmpy Dimpy I'll tell the whole story. The day before ADI, Al asked me if I would drive something back should he feel the need to buy anything at ADI I obviously agreed, seeing as he's my Boss and all. When we arrived at ADI I think we had just about got out of Kerkers WR and I was pounced on by Al who was beaming like a kid who's found his Dads Penthouse. 'Could I drive something back'? ' Of course I could why what have you bought' 'Oh just that V8 round the corner'!!?? Well I have to say I was concerned and the thought did go through my mind that I would probably complete the journey on the back of an AA truck. How wrong could I be. It was an absolute joy to drive and I just could not believe how good a drive it was. We put in 40 quid of juice just down the road from Coombe and I would say we averaged 80 - 85mph on the way home and she never did any less than 25mpg. The way the car accelerates is very impressive with oodles of torque with the lightest of touches on the accelerator. She ran true and straight, braked true and straight and everything I played with worked. Even Chris Archbalds Simply Red 'Stars' tape sounded good in the tape player. The roof was open, it was a cracking late Summers Sunny evening and it was a real joy to behold.
Every now and then, once in a blue moon, you have 'one of those drives' that you would gladly do again and again and again. And that was one of them. The sight of an E plate 100 Sport, an F plate 200 Tresser Avant and a G plate V8 in a fast convoy must have looked even better for the general public than it did in the V8's rear view mirror.
