mikes2 what kind of diagnostic output does the 1B have for pulling codes?

On my KG engined car it is achieved by depressing both idle and WOT switches at once,
thus managing to pull fault codes proves that both switches are working.

The N75 valve is the solenoid valve which controls pressure to the wastegate actuator, not the actuator itself, I think the 1B has a N75 so worth checking, but the KG does not have one.

I'm not 100% sure.

I thought it was the same as the MB which uses a fuse in the FPR to trigger the engine management light in the dash.

WGFV failure is rare in the 10v setup as it's a totally different style of valve from the 20v turbo cars

Dave any news on yours, Did you see Andy's thread asking which plugs?
I'm just wondering if all these engines are that depedant on a paticular make of plug.
Anyone know what the correct plugs are Daves is a 1B and mine is a KG

Chris, how much of the intake can you pressure test, surely some leaks through the throttle plate and into the engine. I have pressure tested the intercooler and its 2 pipes off the car and they hold 2 bar

Today I tested the
IAT sensor
Knock sensor
coolant temp sensor
Idle and WOT switches
Full load enrichment valve
All working and Still none the wiser

I'm thinking mine is definatly fuelling, next step a set of gauges on it.

W7 DTC for the 1B which is the same as the MB

Either W5 DTC or W6 DTC for the KG. It depends on the chassis number. The break is at 44-F-300000. 44-G-000001 onwards use the W6

Thanks Mikes2,

Am I correct in thinking the W? DTC plugs were a standard triple electrode plug and not a "special" like the W4 DPO that the WR requires?

I dont think the NGK BR 6ET plugs are the problem as it was fine on the same before, but Im going to try some platinium or iridium ones anyhow.
