Point taken .....but until it's made illegal, i 'll keep doing it. I'd happily pay extra to park my car in a wider bay but no-one has yet provided this anywhere to my knowledge....... so sorry to all parents who can't find a space when you take the rugrats with you shopping

This is one of my "things".
By taking a parent and baby space when you don't need to you're
  • making someone struggle to open their car doors wide enough to get the child in and out of (and avoid denting somone elses car)
  • making someone have to leave their crying child alone and at risk for longer than neccesary while they take the trolley back
  • make someone struggle with mis-beahaving children across a busy and dangerous car park
I( could go on but its not really neccesary.
I believe Tescos are bringing in a £50 fine for drivers who park incorrectly.
Personally I could do with the exercise and would park at the far end of the carpark like Rich does.
Have you not thought about parking in the disabled bays instead, they're even wider?

PERHAPS they thought... oh theres a quattro allon its own, lets give it some company
Ditto that, happens a lot when i go late night shopping, less than half full but always someone parked next to me. On the few occasions I do end up in car parks with the Cq when its busier I take up 2 places . Had too many bangs from inconsiderate people in my other cars to do anything else and after spending a small fortune on the re-spray I want to keep it bang/scratch free..

Big issue for me is this one....... At the Local Tesco mini store thingy near my house, they have an AMPLE car park that is something like 30ft from the door but MORONS park on the entrance/exit while their passenger "nips" in for a 20min full week's shopping spree, blocking the route in and out. How Fecking lazy can they get. I go out of my way to force them onto the road to let me out, or tap on their window and offer to help them push their stricken vehicle - they MUST have broken down or WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU HAVE PARKED THERE!!!!!!!?????

Seeing a car parked their and the "bloke's" wife wandering round inside the store for ages, I nipped back in and got 8 or so people to come out and help push the "broken down car"!!!! He went purple and his Mrs hid at the top of the store - vengence was mine, world order was restored and hopefully the p%^&k will PARK next time!!!!

The rest of us humans are able to walk 30ft or so, even when carrying a bag of frozen produce so why the hell can't they?????

I am a coutious driver but I HATE ignorance!!!!

ANyway, rant over.........

Quality. At our local Sainsburys we have the same thing, cars parked on the zebra crossing zig zags, even though the car park is 10 feet away.

I will have to try the "have you broken down" thing, as it sounds hilarious, and good for a laugh.

Did you ever read the Lambo/disabled space thread (always good for a laugh!)
