I'm not i just got conned into driving one
In seriousness though, who doesnt appreciate the delta S4? Ian simmonds summed it up well on the phone earlier, they pushed the envelope further again to what the quattro did in 1980....

I'd love to own a group B car regardless of make tbh.... sadly I'll have to make do with my recreation

From your posts I've read, I recon you could build your own 'real one'. That's what I'm doing and it will be much better knowing that it wasn't trashed 30 years ago.

History was never my favourite subject............

I'd happily swap wot I got for an 037 all day long!

Well, nearly all.

I'm not ashamed to admit that in the height of all the rallying frenzy in the 1980's and admist all the hype (and deservedly so) of the quattro, my favourite car was/is still the 037 Stradale.

I'm capable of it yes, sadly the fact i decided to go back to do a degree and leave employment has meant I am very tight on money. This build has been done so far by utilising assets and money aside and doing everything myself and where possible making everything myself.

Maybe i should find myself a lancia delta 8v HF and make an S4 myself

Yes, but you appreciate the history of the real ones, whether it' a collectable road car, or a priceless DKW, Horch, Lancia, Ford or Audi competition car and that's what this forum is all about - diversity, but common interest

A recreation is the ultimate flattery to the original and best cars - the ones that acheived great things, survived and yet live on to this day for all to admire!

Keep up the good work.
