Audi Sport colours - Page 2

Those RAL numbers are correct. When I painted the colours onto mine I struggled to find the RAL numbers as they seem to be a closely guarded secret by our Rally chums but eventually one of them succumed!!. The Yellow was the 'Shell Oils' yellow, obviously, and is Ford Signal yellow. The Red is Volkswagen Mars red but beware as there are two Mars Reds! The 'redder' one is the correct one. But if you go to a reputable paint supplier they will have a RAL Code booklet. And yes the brown is really brown.

I thought these pictures from the 82 Monte might be helpful. They are some of a bunch of photographs I acquired from an Italian chap on ebay a couple of years ago when we were building our recreation. The photos of the car we copied (IN-NM 61, 81 RAC) were from the San Remo rally, which was the event before the RAC, but its all good Group 4 information.

The best photo is of Michelles car but its probaley still useful.

I can email the full size scans if you want.
