Cabrio is in to find the oil leak, taking the alternator out to expose the higher section of the sump seal and POSSIBLY its the cylinder bank head gasket thats giving up the ghost.
Already had the sump seals changed, front crank case seal resulting in the timing belt job done, still got the leak !!!!

so if its the gasket then this is not a job we want to entertain or afford so now I have the S4 up for grabs and possibly the cabrio after July.
We wanted to drive it to Spain next month so thats plan A

SINCE WE HAVE HAD IT (2ND March) we have done the following:

new front and rear discs and pads all round, 2nd March
new oil, filters and spark plugs 2nd March
new front crank case seal and timing belt package just done.
new CD PLAYER think its Pioneer
MOT November, taxed not sure how long for, thinks its until september
rear window needs replaced, Eltee is on the case to do that...
RS4 style wheels
newish tyres
Full Audi service history 96k miles ish, V6 2.6 MANUAL lazer red, black leather, black cloth roof
electric windows
central locking
£ 3500 cabrio

£2000 for the S4... BEFORE you jump in and take the piss hear me out......... IF I leave the S4 until next year save up and get it through its MOT for 400 quid, ( 2 dampers and fuel lines and fitting) I can USE IT to cut in 2000 quid for a new A1 (and sell the Aygo separetly)

this car has been lovingly maintained by me since 2001 until PeteB had it for a year then I had it back again.
I am forced to sell because I just cant afford to get it through its MOT and cant justify 5 cars in the drive!!
I 'll be open to sensible offers please but any other comments, PLEASE dont bother posting

The government scrappage scheme isn't running forever.
It will be long finished by next year fella. 3 months tops it's run for just to kick start the motor industry.

JJ I am in this mess because car jobs cost a bloody sight more than I earn and have a few big hits on there already so the credit card is just prolonging the never never.... TIME to say NOW NOW NOW!!!!

doubt it though, saw Eltee today, he was saying that although in coming cars must have a MOT.... THEYRE crushed within a few days so an MOT seems a bit bloody pointless to me........... but saying that, this will prevent punters from going to a scrappy and turning up with whats left of a car expecting 2000 quid for a pile of scrap.
