I remember that particular Sunday well. Bloody horrible and nobody hardly turned up.

Anyone know what the weather is like in North Wales at the mo?. Just debating whether to go tomorrow or give it a miss due to too much wetness

Just checked and looks like it will be cloudy/dry getting there, heavy rain on and off during the day and clearing up after 5pm. Bit like today when I was at a hockey tournament at Colwyn Bay down the road..
Going to take the Cq even though its in limp mode most the time. paid my tax so might as well use it. It will be back in the garage by 6pm getting leathered down so what the hell... Plenty of sausages and rolls to keep us going...

Well arrived in sunshine at 7.45 and had enough time to get the gazeebo up, sort the stand and get the tea and coffee sorted before the torrrential rain arrived. Then by some miracle 90 minutes later a cloudless sky appearred and stayed with us until 3pm when dark clouds could be seen on the horizon, so we packed up and scarperred and I got home without getting the car too drenched twice in one day.
So a great surprise day for those that turned up. Andy Biddulph had a constant stream of people buying tickets for his Ur quattro raffle and had plenty looking at mine, especially when I left the bonnet open for a while. Pity the heap of an engine keeps going into limp mode. It flies when its working properly and on a quiet stretch this morning clocked a 3.6 sec dash from 50-70mph in 5th, unfortunately by the time I got to 80 it tripped limp mode Doh! So as it was quiet dumped the clutch turned off the engine, restarted and back to having boost again. Sooner I get this sorted the better. Getting well and truly peeved off with it..

well more fool me but I pulled out at last minute as the weather forecast looked crap. Indeed it was pretty crap in Manchester from about 11am onwards so I thought I was vindicated. I was mightily pissed when the old owner who lives in North Wales called me to tell me the weather was fine and had been for most of the day. Doh

Same issue whether the standard or chipped ECU. If there was a code I would at least have a clue as to what the issue is. Going to have to do some old fashioned fault finding that could take months mainly due to lack of funds.
